About the photographer

I have been an professional photographer and designer for over 20 years.

Working with film for many years I first used digital back in 1996 with Leaf and Phase One for studio work. With the advent of cost effective digital SLRs I switched completely in 2006 and have relied on Nikon cameras ever since.

Having a creative background including working for national press and magazines, as a client, you can be assured of a fast, quality professional service from start to finish and with an end product design flare you may not get from other photographers.

I believe that every wedding is special and unique, and, most importantly it is your day so I don't work a rigid formula - you call the shots!

Although my main field is actually editorial work and I now freelance for a wide variety of publication, while working in London from 1998 - 2002, I was frequently asked to photograph weddings for friends and collegues. I moved to Scotland in August 2004, after some time in the Peak District.

I decided to take some specialist contemporary wedding photography training with the twice winners of the UK Wedding Photographer of the Year awards; Julie Oswin AMPA and Steve Walton FMPA, FRSA, in the Spring of 2008 and this has enabled me to further develop my own style..
